STRIPPING FUNCTION Use the small notch near the end of the tool head to cut the sheath, using a rotating movement to cut the sheath around its entire circumference, then pull the sheath to slide it off. CUTTING FUNCTION Use the large central notch to cut the cable. - special double-edged cutting edges for comfortable cutting. - special cutting geometry ensures clean, crush-free cutting of Cu and Alu conductors with minimum physical effort. - insulating reinforcements at the ends of the arms to protect against impact. - high-performance chrome-vanadium steel. Color differentiation between the 2 insulating layers enables visual inspection of the entire tool to confirm its suitability for use in an electrical environment, as recommended by UTE18-510 and IEC 60900. WHEN THE ORANGE LAYER IS DAMAGED AND THE RED LAYER IS VISIBLE = DANGER. - the thickness of the insulating layers is determined by the weight of the tools to ensure optimum resistance - tools are designed to withstand extreme temperatures from -20 to +70°C - each tool is tested to 10,000V AC and approved to 1000V AC for use on low-voltage networks - several controls at every stage of production, in addition to IEC 60900 standard controls |
